Introduction
ESF is committed to supporting professional development and training for coaches across Europe and has set up a Coaching Committee to focus specifically on developing this area. ESF deliver a three tier Coaching Award programme in order to assess the competency of coaches and to develop their expertise and skills. ESF also host Coaching Conferences to encourage the sharing of expertise and best practice. Please visit the calendar of events to find details of any forthcoming coaching courses.
ESF Coaching Conference - 2012
The first ESF-Coaching Conference after a break of almost 8 years attracted 36 participants from 9 countries. ESF Vice-president Zena Wooldridge opened the conference at the Kahuna Club in Warsaw, which proved to be a splendid venue with 8 courts and the hotel in walking distance. The conference theme "How to produce better players – a practical approach" was presented with lectures and practical sessions from Peter Hirst, Mike Harris, Ronny Vlassaks and Michael Khan.
