The first ESF sanctioned international junior event in Europe in almost two years.
Anti-covid measures set by Czech medical authorities for the tournament were tough (pre-travel PCR test, daily on-site antigen testing). The successful organizers news; the event finished with only one positive test result from 864 tests made over 4 days. And this was not even a player, it was a member of the TV crew who produced the live stream.

The success on court: 9 categories were played and the winners were from 9 different countries.

Tomas Forter (Tournament Director) said: “I am very happy we managed to play the tournament. It is never easy to organize such a big event but this year it was even more complicated. I had my doubts at times but we really wanted to make it happen. And I guess we were rewarded for all the hard work with a bit of luck with no positive tests among the players. I would like to thank all the participants because everyone was behaving in the right way, following all the rules and did their small part to help to make the tournament a big success. They showed a trust in our abilities to organize this event when they entered and came to Prague. Also from the feedback we got from the participants it looks like everyone enjoyed the tournament and their stay in Prague. It was great to see the joy and smiles on the faces of juniors who did not have a chance to compete at this level for so long. Hopefully many other tournaments will follow.“
