2022 ESF European Individual Closed Squash Championships Begin

The draws for the 2022 edition of the European Individual Closed Championships have been published.

After a two year break the event will be held at the Sportwerk club in Hamburg, with the first round matches starting on Wednesday.

Both titleholders from the last edition 2019 in Bucharest will be defending their titles.

Belgian Nele Gillis, the winner in 2019, is the women’s top seed this year, ahead of here sister Tinne, the champion of the recent World Games.

Melissa Alves and Enora Villard, both from France, are seeded 3/4.

The men’s top seed is Swiss Nicolas Mueller, followed by Victor Crouin (FRA), the World Games winner. Germany’s titleholder Raphael Kandra is seeded 3/4 together with Frenchman Sebastian Bonmalais.
